One of the elements that has a real impact on the level of employee protection is the right lanyard. Its choice should not be random or based solely on price. The role of the right lanyard in the fall protection system

The lanyard is the connection between the harness and the anchor point or other element of the safety system. Its task is to limit the fall path or take over energy in the event of falling from the structure. In practice, this means protecting the spine, internal organs and reducing the risk of serious injuries. The effectiveness of a lanyard depends on the correct adjustment of the parameters to the specific workstation.

Type of work performed and choice of right lanyard

At the stage of selecting equipment, the nature of the activity should be determined. Different requirements arise during roofing work, different requirements during the assembly of steel structures or service activities on scaffolding. The mobility of the employee and the frequency of switching between anchor points are also important. Twin Lanyards are often used for tasks that require continuous movement, while Single Lanyards or Adjustable Lanyards are sufficient for static operation.
